During the event, discussions were held on sending a proposal to the state government to develop Nehra Pahad as a tourist destination. Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra stated that the Rajasthan government aims to conduct all municipal elections together under the ‘One State, One Election’ framework in 2025, including those municipalities whose tenure is set to end in 2026.

Minister Kharra was in Jhunjhunu to attend the event celebrating the statue installation day of Jhunjhar Singh. At the event, progressive farmers, students, administrative officers, and individuals excelling in various fields were honoured.

He said that steps are being taken to ensure municipal elections are held simultaneously in November 2025. He also stressed that municipal boundary expansion and ward restructuring should be done fairly, without political interference, and that administrative officers have been trained accordingly.

Regarding the appointment of municipal heads, he mentioned that governance in villages and cities is different. Addressing issues of officials and employees refusing to leave their posts after transfers, he assured that action would be taken either by ensuring their release or by imposing penalties.
